What We Believe and Teach
We accept the Bible to be the Word of God in its
entirety. We believe that it is without error or contradiction and that it is
verbally inspired by God the Holy Spirit. God’s Word maintains that God is
Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one God in three persons, three persons yet,
one God. We believe this without exception. It is our belief and confession
that God created the entire universe and everyone in it and that He still
preserves it and us. We believe man brought sin into the world and that his sin
brought death and so death has spread to all people. We cannot repair even in
part the damage our sin has caused and avoid the consequence of eternal
separation from God and endless death. But Thanks to God, there is hope. He has
sent us His Son Jesus Christ to keep the Commandments we all have broken, for
us. He willingly gave His innocent life for us on the cross as the full and
only payment for our sin, for us. We believe that Christ battled sin, Satan and
death by His sacrifice of His body for us. This wondrous love God is His gift
to us, and now in Christ by Holy Baptism we are fully forgiven of all sin and
will go to heaven when our life on this earth ends. It not because we have
figured this out or made a decision to believe God, but because God has decided
to love us and has chosen us, and that the Holy Spirit has given this faith to
us. As Dr. Martin Luther was led by God to see that it is solely by God’s
grace, that we saved and forgiven through faith, so we believe and teach. God’s
Word reveals our beginning, our life and, promises us life forever solely
because of Christ, and not because of anything good in us or anything we have
done. Christ will come back one day to judge the whole world and take all
believers in Him to heaven while those who reject Christ will be lost forever
to hell. God’s Word teaches and we believe that our primary purpose for being
in this life is to tell the Good News of Christ to everyone. And so, we do this
with this note and all that we say and do at Trinity. You are cordially invited
to worship with us and become part of the Trinity family.
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church is a confessional church,
meaning that it adheres to a certain confession, or statement of faith. We
believe in the whole teaching of the Holy Scriptures, the Word of God. We
believe the teaching expressed in the 1580 Book of Concord is completely
faithful to the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. To view any portion of the
